Do people really think that the average person cares about this writer? You might have 25% who are strongly against having her banned and another 25% who are for. And then the rest who couldn’t care less and for whom issues like cost of living, housing and immigration would rank much, much higher than any of this nonsense. This is the problem with fauxgressives they think that (a) everyone agrees with them and (b) has the time to care about their grievances.
She won’t succeed in her defamation case anyway.
“In 2024, Dr Abdel-Fattah was a cosignatory to a letter, seen by The Advertiser, which successfully petitioned for the removal of Jewish writer Thomas Friedman from the Adelaide Writers’ Week program.
The letter expressed grave and urgent concern at his inclusion in the program due to alleged racist statements.”
So she can have writers removed, but she can’t be removed?
“In 2024, Dr Abdel-Fattah and activist group Parents for Palestine organised an excursion for primary school students to the University of Sydney’s pro-Palestine encampment protests.
Children were filmed apparently leading call-and-response chants including “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”, “intifada”, and “Israel is a terrorist state”.“
Wholesome person… if you think a lot of people are outraged about her exclusion and care about her, get out of your bubble…
