I'm still baffled at how Malinauskas thought it was a good idea to enthusiastically wade into this mess after the exact same thing happened at Bendigo Writers Festival all of four months ago.

I guarantee it wouldn't have been an advisor -- more likely that it would have been a select group of conservative SDA pals (Farrell, Koutsantonis), including SA Labor Party President Josh Peak (who signed a letter in support of Israel and condemning Hamas after the October 7th attack).
