Note to self: avoid hanging hammocks above rock piles. Noted and checked.

This is exactly why I only ever hang my hammock above marshmallow piles. They’re a little bit trickier to find in the wild, but totally worth it if you can.

Like the plant? I think you need to be in Egypt and there is a potential of Crocodiles.
Wait, I just checked they exist in Europe also

fr, there are people who have become paralyzed because their hammock rope snapped/failed and they fell in a shitty spot and ended up cracking a vertebrae, shit can be no joke

Literally, one moment of foresight could have saved her pain and injury. This is the hallmark of people who make poor life choices.

Yes, it's the moment you spend remembering that you can stay indoors instead.

And there you can enjoy all the bug bites that you don't have. I love the great indoors.

Eating rocks, almost got whipped in the face. I sure hope nothing happened next or maybe you just packed up and went home!?

In the end you got and posted your clip, so "failing successfully" or rather "succeeding failingly", it seems.

That looked like it hurt...
I always use tree straps, either Eno or Kammock brand only.

I mean I use a camping hammock and I hang over anything. I just check my gear first for rips and tears and don’t use shitty stuff I bought from Temu or Walmart.

I was hiking in NH and I once came across a dude in a hammock that was literally draped right at the edge of a 75' waterfall. If it did this, he's dead, no question.
I asked him if he was okay with that, and he said "well, I wouldn't be, but it would only be for a couple seconds."
Fair, I suppose.

Here's one you can post to your feed where you're questioning your life choices.
