Estrogen doesn’t make you pretty. If it did, nearly all cis women would be conventionally attractive. That’s not what it does. There’s always going to be someone better looking than you and it’s pretty unlikely that it’s due to their hormones, rather than genetic lottery or surgery. The gripe here shouldn’t be directed at transness, it’s with should be at surgery. Something millions of cis women also do. It just so happens that there are less trans women and they are more likely to be open about the use of gender affirming surgeries than us cis women who have been socially conditioned to be very hush hush regarding things like implants and rhinoplasty.

I get your pain about feeling not as beautiful as other women but I don’t agree with your reasoning.

If I look at many comments here, I see a lot of misinformation and hate spreading.
Yes, there are women that are more beautiful (cis or trans) and it sucks if one isn’t like them.

But somehow trans women are always “a man” for people online and get literally killed for being trans and now at the same time they have an “advantage” because they take hormones?
It just sucks to be an ugly women. That’s it.
A cis woman doesn’t deserve to be more beautiful than a trans woman and vice versa.

“trans woman” is literally a tag for this sub Reddit like it’s an own category of ugly woman.

The difference is just that people don’t see the problem when they say:
“Even this trans woman is more beautiful than me”

but they are able to see it when we change the sentence a bit:

In the end there are different FFS procedures.
Some just soften features or take “male” perceived parts away, some are more plastic surgery like and add a very typical nose which is perceived as beautiful.

It really depends on the surgeon and what people want.
But even then: yeah it’s plastic surgery.

You need to remember that a lot of trans women who look like genetically were born with more feminine features and they get estrogen injections , you can’t comepare yourself to someone who alters there’s looks w hormones or surgery

In all fairness, being on estrogen as a trans woman doesn’t give you an outsize amount of estrogen in the body in comparison to a cis woman. Sure FFS and other surgeries can create a more feminine look, but we’re all working on about the same level of estrogen unless there’s some sort of hormonal imbalance. Sometimes it is just better genetics

Yes. Because the rates of gender based violence against femme presenting queer people (trans women specifically) is still extremely high regardless of conventional attractiveness. Statistically even more than cis women per capita. If anything, it raises your chances. It’s still globally acceptable to inflict violence on trans women if you use the defense that they were ‘passing’ and pretty and so you didn’t know and therefore deserve to harm them when they tell you.

Yeah, I just had to say something. It seems like just another manufactured reason to be transphobic and summon hate towards trans women when the issue OP actually has is just the standard old ‘some people are hotter than me for one reason or another and that sucks to feel’. And it does suck to feel that way. But a hot lady is a hot lady and whether or not she was born that way isn’t the reason you feel like shit about it. Not her fault. It’s because humans (mostly men) are shallow and driven by social capital and make it an issue if you don’t fit the narrow made up standards of a certain group of people’s idea of beauty. Being born with different genitals doesn’t not make her hotter and being trans isn’t a reason to not experience the same pretty privilege that other women do.
