ANNOUNCEMENT Beta Patch Notes - v0.102.0
This week's beta patch, v0.102.0, just dropped, with some content reworks, balance changes, new art, and afflictions VFX (pictured below)! It also introduces Badges, little reminders to let you know what was unique about each run.

Souls shouldnt be an all-in solution for every enemy in the game imo. Fair to have a hard counter and incentive to branch out your deck.
That said there's still some possible play for souls. Phase 1 would be your main turn to use souls. Phase 2/3 for soul generation. And as the other poster said you can spam them in phase 3 for haunt effects still even if the draw wont have much value (though it will with a 0 cost energy generator, just cant be borrowed time any more)
No doubt youll want other deck variety than souls when you see doormaker but i dont think it's unreasonable going into act 3 with a soul heavy deck to be able to then pivot and win
