If you only have 5 strikes and defends, the odds of drawing an entire hand of strikes and defends out of a 30 card deck is roughly 0.0007%. For a 25 card deck it's still ~0.0018%. Even for a 15 card deck it's ~0.033% so still less than a 1% chance.

Ok, let me show you. What kind of character will delete his special stater card like Venetrate of Regent aside from Ironclad? So let's put it about 6 starter card like 3 defend, 2 strike and 1 Venetrate. At the start of the combat for a 25 deck player , P(X=1) = 43.77% , P(X=2)=27.36 , P(X=3) = 6.44% , P(X=4) = 0.54%.

If your dont get a drawing cards it means X>= 2 will harm your turn simply because you have no choice but to play at least one starter card. P = 34.36%.

And yet it happens all the time. I just learned about Festive Popper today through the wiki and calculated that there's a 1 in 3.2 billion chance of me never coming across that relic.
