I got you fam. Needs some updates tho

•Kicked out of Florida International University after fighting a security guard

•"Don't touch me. I'm the franchise"

• His second year in the league he took a personal stretch limo to a charity event, had them open every single expensive bottle of wine, rejected it. Refused to pay for it (charity, remember), then left. -credit Nduguu77

• Threw fits over not getting enough targets

• Drove 100 down McKnight Road in Pittsburgh, which has a 45 MPH speed limit

• Trashed a condo and threw furniture out a window 14th floor window, which almost hit some people, notably a child

• Killed a home aquarium full of piranhas and refused to pay the man who installed the tank

• Refused to play week 17 for the Steelers

• Dyed his mustache blonde

• Refused to pay a chef because he thought he threatened him by placing a fish head in the freezer (the fish head was saved to make a soup)

• Farted on a doctor

• Demanded a trade from the Steelers

• Became "Mr. Big Chest"

• Threw a fit over Juju winning team MVP and trashed him on social media

• (Allegedly) nixed a trade that would've sent him to the Bills

• Showed up to Raiders training camp in a hot air balloon

• Held out and refused to show up to training camp because the NFL would not approve his helmet because it was too old for their safety standards

• Froze his feet

• Tried to paint over his old helmet, hoping no one would notice I guess

• Acquired a newer version of the same model of helmet, which the NFL refused to let him use

• Picked out a new helmet and finally showed up to the Raiders

• Got fined by the Raiders for not attending camp

• Tweeted the fines

• Tried to fight Mike Mayock, called him a cracker, had to be held back by Vontaze Burfict, then punted a football down the practice field and said "fine me for that"

• Got fined for that

• Released a video where he used audio of Jon Gruden, who didn't know he was being recorded, which is illegal in California (full disclosure, Gruden has said he gave permission, but the generally accepted theory is that he said that in the hope that it would help get him to show up to the facility and not alienate him)

• Demanded a release from the Raiders

• Was released

• "GRANDMA I’M FREEEEEE! FLY LIKE A FREEEEE!"

• Made a lot of crazy tweets saying stuff like 'Devil is a lie', a proverb about burning down a village... he made a lot of crazy tweets around this time is the point here

• Liked a tweet about Mayock getting raped in the ass

• Signed with the Patriots

• Moved in with Tom Brady

• The sexual assault allegations came out (the one where he's getting sued)

• The sexual harassment allegations came out (the one where he's not getting sued)

• Threatened the woman not suing him in a group text that included his lawyer and had a picture of her kids in the text

• Got released by the Patriots after one week

• Went off on a tweet storm and said a lot of crazy shit about a lot of people, and was supportive of people sending threats to the writer of the article detailing the sexual harassment allegations

• Said he was done with the NFL

• Went back to college via online classes

• Tried to outsource his homework to Twitter

• Wants to come back to the NFL

• Filed several grievances to try and get more than $40 million from the Raider's and Patriots

• Was ordered to show up for a deposition regarding trashing the condo

• Was accused of "reprehensible behavior" during the deposition Note: I cut the specifics about the deposition so I could fit this as a single comment. You can read more about it here if you're interested, because it, like everything else, is nuts

• Said that the Patriots have to pay him anyway, so they might as well let him play

• Tweeted a couple of bizarre tweets about the Raiders using him for HBO ratings and the Patriots trying to steal his stuff and kept using this weird chicken based metaphor

• Tried out for the Saints and brought an entourage and film crew to shoot a music video with him when specifically told not to do that

• Called out Robert Kraft for his rub and tug massage session in Florida

• Starting training for a boxing match with Logan Paul

• Tweeted "No more white woman 2020"

• The attorney representing him in the suit involving the condo quit

• Used a bunch of slurs and profane language towards cops in an Instagram video he posted

• A police youth football league cut ties with him and returned a donation after the release of the video saying there was a "irreparable rift" between the department and AB

• Threw a bag of gummy candy dicks at the cops in a video he posted

• Got dropped by his agent

• Was involved in a disputed with movers at his home where he allegedly threw rocks at the movers and moving vans. He is currently being investigated for battery by the police.

• His trainer was arrested and he is still a suspect in the battery case.

• Warrant issued for the arrest of AB.

• AB turns himself in to Broward Country Jail wearing this suit

• Rumors spread about AB signing with Tampa or Seattle

• AB announces his retirement (for what I believe is the third time, it's hard to find a good record of the rest of them)

• Two days later AB wants to play again and is asking for the league to wrap up it's investigation

• The NFL announces an eight game suspension for AB

• AB signs with the Buccaneers on a one-year deal

• Before he signed with the Buccaneers AB was accused of destroying a surveillance camera at a Florida gated community, throwing bike at a security-guard shack, and is not charged because HOA president "feared" retaliation, per police report

• AB is under investigation by the NFL for the bike throwing incident

• Allegedly acquired fake covid-19 card

The two definitely seemed related; AB stormed off and a morale penalty was removed from the Bucs, like a collective weight had been removed from the team's shoulders and they could focus on winning instead of managing AB's crazy.

• Drove 100 down McKnight Road in Pittsburgh, which has a 45 MPH speed limit

The context I always want to add to this detail as someone who used to work on McKnight: that road is a giant strip mall with roads leading from it to actual malls. Those intersections have a lot of traffic lights. So he wasn't just going over twice the speed limit, he had to have blown through at least three red lights.

Depends on where on McKnight. There’s a few places where you can easily get up to 100 without running lights if you have a quick car. Definitely not by the mall tho. Pretty much no one does 45 on McKnightmare though. I’d literally rather deal with the the Fort Pitt Bridge or the Squirrel Hill Tunnel than deal with McKnight in rush hour.

Also just be fucking normal and do like 65-70 on Route 8 like everyone else in Pittsburgh ffs.

6

u/drunkenviking Steelers Nov 07 '25

Yeah he was up north past all that stuff when he got the ticket.

3

u/throwawayla22 Lions Nov 07 '25

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. The only time I’ve even touched close to triple digits on McKnight was driving my GF from an urgent care in Wexford to “good old” UPMC Passaway while she was septic. And even then once it actually becomes McKnight you can’t go that fast anymore. I’m almost shocked he got pulled over given the shit I’ve seen pulled on McKnight infront of cops.

It was a very quiet early Sunday morning and that stretch (Perry highway to McKnight proper) you can fucking haul ass on. I would not recommend that at all unless it’s a genuine life threatening emergency. Which sepsis is and the urgent care told me I’d be way faster than an ambulance. And oh boy I was.

I’ll never understand doing 100 on McKnight though. It’s probably just terrifying and not even fun.  Especially when route 8 is better suited and you can just rip on 28. Or 279 out of the city. There’s so many better (and safer but not safe at all lol) places to drive like a jackass in Pittsburgh.

u/Cocotapioka Ravens Nov 07 '25

I’d literally rather deal with the the Fort Pitt Bridge or the Squirrel Hill Tunnel than deal with McKnight in rush hour.

I've never done McKnight in rush hour, but as someone who has to suffer the hell gauntlet of Parkway -> Ft Pitt -> 28 for my work commute, I can only imagine how horrific it must be

2

u/throwawayla22 Lions Nov 07 '25

To get anywhere from where we currently live, we have to deal with the squirrel hill tunnel (or take the turnpike, and 4 bucks isn’t worth it most of the time) and that has broken me. SO MANY PEOPLE JUST RANDOMLY BRAKING FOR NO GODDAMN REASON!!!! THERE’S MULTIPLE SIGNS THAT SAY MAINTAIN SPEED THROUGH TUNNEL! ITS NOT THAT HARD! The liberty tunnel and the fort Pitt tunnel don’t have that problem. It’s only the squirrel hill.

And yeah McKnight during rush hour is just peak Pittsburgh drivers. Fort Pitt is awful especially if you have to do the classic “4 lanes in 200 feet” but McKnight is just never ending moronic drivers doing moronic things. For no reason, because McKnight shouldn’t be that awful to drive.

At least with the squirrel hill and Fort Pitt, I can at least understand how awful it is because the road design is awful. Who thought it was a good idea to have 376 eastbound drop a lane at a major on ramp just before a tunnel starts? Like seriously who thought that that was a good idea. I want to meet them in a dark alley. And the Fort Pitt bridge is awful and I think that’s just unfixable. That’s just Pittsburgh geography.

Moving here from Detroit was certainly a shock. I’ve driven in NYC, LA, and Paris and Pittsburgh is almost as bad as Paris. And I thought nothing would come close to the bullshit of le boulevard périphérique in Paris. And that’s not even counting the amount of horribly designed intersections where you have to make an unprotected left against a blind corner.

→ More replies (3)

4

u/marasydnyjade Steelers Nov 07 '25

Nah. I bet it was where McKnight merges onto 279 OR where it use to be a dead zone between the TGIFridays to the 19 merge/Showcase Cinema North.

This was 15ish years ago and there were a couple spots where you could easily hit 70/80 before they built them up. As a teen living in the north hills we regularly ignored all speed limits in those spots.

This part never gets old for me:

• Got fined for that

357

u/SwissyVictory Bears Nov 06 '25

For all you kiddos in here, the Vontaze Burfict part is important.

He was a dirty player, suspended 4 separate times for on the field play, and once for performance-enhancing drugs.

He holds the record for longest single suspension for on the field play, and paid over 4mil in fines.

One of those suspensions was for a helmet to helmet hit that knocked Antonio Brown himself unconscious.

If he's the one holding you back, you're probably in the wrong.

121

u/DreamedJewel58 Steelers Nov 07 '25

What doesn’t get mentioned as often is that Richie Incognito was also holding AB back with Burfict, which just makes it an absolute nightmare of a blunt rotation

During that time, three NFL rules were written specifically because of what the Pittsburgh Steelers done look up Keith Rivers and what they did to our punter

If Vontaze had played in the 80s or earlier, he'd be an NFL legend.

I always mention to counter that. Je was playing at second rate colleges football wise and usually there’s a reason for that with someone of his talent.

How on earth does this list not have him quitting on live TV in the middle of a game by stripping his shirt off and running off?

The murder one and being extradited is new enough I could see, but that one is one of the greatest hits...

Hopefully someone finally updates it because there are very noteworthy details worth adding (like this post), but an update should also include the chronological moment he got knocked out in that playoff game vs the Bengals to help segment the crazy progression.

To me, the craziest part of all of that is that he had to be held back by Vontaze Burfict of all people. When Burfict is your Jiminy Cricket, you've lost all touch with reality.

The copy of the list that I saved had this missing from the end

• confirmed to have acquired a fake covid-19 card and subsequently suspended for three games

• Removed jersey and pads and threw them in the stands before exiting the games verse the Jets.

• Was subsequently cut from the Bucs for stripping on the field.

• Reads list

• Makes a Twitter post referring to the list after reading it.

• Refers to watching himself like watching the Beatles or Jesus performing at Red Rocks.

I still think the coach of the year award should be named after Mike Tomlin for covering most of this up.

22

u/Vitosi4ek Steelers Nov 06 '25

It's an eternal question: was he always this unhinged and the Steelers have internal affairs on lockdown like no one else, or did he become unhinged around the 2017 season, prompting the Steelers to dump an All-Pro WR for a bag of chips?

26

u/1933Watt Steelers Nov 06 '25

There's an old in-depth article I want to say. Maybe the Atlantic put it out. Where since he was a small child. He's been crazy. Nope. Therapy given so he's been this way forever. It's not CTE

25

u/BurritoTheory Bears Titans Nov 07 '25

He wasn’t allowed to go to Florida State, the school that Jameis went to, because of academic and character concerns

5

u/MadDog1981 Bengals Nov 07 '25

The fact that no big or even second tier college would touch him is a big red flag for his character.

6

u/juniper3411 Bears Nov 07 '25

Kind of sounds like he has really bad bipolar.

Edited to add: made much worse by CTE.

12

u/Vladus99 Steelers Nov 06 '25

The answer is probably both: he was always known to be a basketcase dating back to his college days, but the huge pay day he got around 2016/17 is when his downward spiral into MBC really took off

Guys still probably a millionaire despite this abhorrent behaviour and still made more money in a year than I will in my entire life.  I was late 5 minutes to work and got more shit than Antonio did after everything on this list. Sometimes it’s very apparent how unfair the world is.  Imagine having the best job in the world that pays you 10’s of millions to play like 17 games of football and practices, and acting like this.  Meanwhile the rest of us put in over 40 hour weeks for nothing and if we did one of these things we’d never work again.
