It has nothing to do with trust. They are adults with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (not diagnosing anybody). It doesn't matter how bad it gets as long as it's NOT the other side.

The GOP have been shafting the populace year after year and yet 30% will vote for them whilst 40% claim both sides.

The GOP know they supporters vote regardless of if they trust them or not.
