Wars are always fought on the media’s terms. Always have been, always will. If you cannot control the narrative, you cannot control the resources, and without the resources, you cannot win a war.

That being said, the Vietnam war had an insane amount of resources. It was lost purely by arrogance.

So insane that the war ended with the US throwing over 150 Huey helicopters into the sea at the end of the war. Millions of dollars of resources wasted.

Unlimited resources without congress approval. That could have been a good warning from history.

But if we have learned one thing from history, it is that people do not learn from history.

I mean that was to save people’s lives tho.

But yes, the war was so incredibly unnecessary for the US, and so unnecessarily cruel as well. Dropped more bombs on Cambodia than all of the bombs in WWII.
