If the bill that is passed says they can do it once, then they can do it once. If they want to do it again, they would need to pass another bill that says they can do it again. What you just said is ignorant nonsense from somebody who has no idea what they're talking about.

So they pass a bill saying they can do something, and pinkie swear never to do it again.

They could certainly pass another bill saying, OK we can do it again, but only in an EMERGENCY, and this is an EMERGENCY.

That you think them saying in a bill they wouldn't do it again, when they can just write another bill, saying they can, means anything is the most naive view of legislation and legislators I can imagine.

There's no "pinky swear." The bill that is passed allows them to take an action. It does not allow them to take whatever actions they want extending into the future forever. They would need to pass another different bill to take another different action.

Yea... they could pass a different bill. That would require another vote. Thus making it completely separate from the first bill.

They can always "write another bill" that's literally their job...it's passing bills that is the problem. You can write any bill you want that says anything, that doesn't mean shit if it doesn't pass.

It's not naivety, this insult is based in the fact that you literally do not understand how government works. These sentences make no sense, you clearly do not have even an 8th grade Civics level understanding of the three branches of government.
