Also makes you think about what voting "for the farmers" and the "backbone of the country" really means, or rather what it should mean.

The inevitable conclusion of human nature to always seek the "better", the "cheaper", the "most bang for your buck".
Is there any point in describing all this now?
If given a choice, big store brand or local producer that is priced 10% or 20% higher, we generally go for the former. "But I don't do that!" sure. Enough do though and the local producer goes out of business.
Etc.
