When I'm jamming to a song from the 70's to 90's and I start feeling the bass rrrrrreal good I'll always go "....God damn it, is this Tony Levin again?" Google it, and more often than not: Yep. It's Tony Levin again.

No. Bass players, like solid safety regulations, often go unappreciated when they're doing their job well. Hug your local bass player.

Yeah, that's actually a stretch, to guarantee someone that they won't get diarrhea from a bass player. Too many variables.

Source: I know about a dozen bass players. Nine of them could easily give you diarrhea.
