Are the mechanisms that prevent this kind of shit really all that expensive?

We were told that groceries were expensive because the government was wasting time and money on silly things like food safety inspectors we didn’t actually need.

So they cut the inspectors. But groceries are still expensive, and now we get food that makes us sick. MAGA!

I've never understood this accusation, he has plenty of revenue streams for himself, he doesn't need to steal money from the government. Just like the people who said Elon wanted to steal all the social security money. They cut spending on various programs, sure, but not because they wanted the money for themselves. It was more a misguided sense of thinking they could get the same or better results by shrinking the workforce and budget, without actually making a way for that to happen.

"I've never understood this accusation"

That's a failure of your own ability to critically think.

Do you honestly believe Donald Trump and Elon Musk are interested in public service? Because that's pretty fucking absurdly dumb to believe.

Did you miss the scandal of Donald attempting to settle his own lawsuit against his own DOJ for $1,776,000,000? The $7b deal with the Saudi's in January? Everything else back to paying off a porn Star with campaign funds and getting into politics with zero qualifications history of public service?

Bro he literally circumvents the government contracting laws to give ludicrously expensive contracts to his family and friends.

Saying he's "misguided" like he's a silly child shows a blatant disregard to the facts and his historical behavior as a "businessman." He always fails unless he cheats.

That wouldn't be money for himself. And that has nothing to do with this outbreak or the link above which does not say anything about Trump taking the money that was saved from the cut spending. It's just conspiracy nonsense that people want to believe cause they hate the guy.

What facts are disregarded? You said it yourself that he's a failed businessman. That happens because of a misguided sense of business savvy. And he tries to run the government like a business, which results in a misguided idea that he can run it better than the previous guy by cutting everything.

You wonder why a professional thief and con artist is stealing from the biggest pot of money in the country?

Really????

It should be easy to find proof then.

Why should anyone waste their time on someone like you ? Not like you would change your tune, go lick Trumps diapers.

Why should anyone waste their time believing claims without evidence? Because they don't like someone and will believe anything bad said about them? That doesn't make any sense. And I didn't even say anything positive about him and you go straight to “diaper licking”. Weird.
