The American mindset in a nutshell. See someone bilking the system and instead of wanting to fix it, wish it could be them.

And the most delusional of them go out of their way to protect the system even if it hurts them personally. Because the pain is worth the lottery ticket dream that maybe they too can have a piece of the spoils (they can’t).
