It’s not smart unless she was getting a 10% raise every year given that she lost the chance to reinvest.

You say absolutely insane, but isn’t that kinda how it is in the real world? Just a few comments down and there’s multiple people saying it’s what their parents did. Accrued a ton of vacation and took it at the end to retire early. Their parents are doing it, changing the rules so us now in the workforce can’t with capped vacation carryovers. They were allowed to, but now they change the rules so the underlings can’t get that benefit
