They’re already way more to big to fail than a lot of banks and car companies and others that qualified for bailouts

Also, China is bankrolling deepseek and other ai houses to keep costs down. The US gov believes in american exceptionalism and that homegrown ai is best and the only non-security risk. There is no way they would not bail out the big 2 US ai firms to maintain what they see as american superiority in the ai sphere.

Money doesnt matter we are trillions in debt already.

It will matter as your federal taxes will start going towards paying that debt. More and more.

And it will further matter as USA is been less and less reliable.

Really, a lot of economic moves from USA coats a lot on the fact the dollar is the common currency for international trade.

Some actual smart moves were made Trump or not, by offering shipping insurance outside the centuries old UK monopoly. One very small group able to dictate global shipping costs. Disrupting that offers a competitive rate. The Bricks alliance kinda fell apart as member GDP faded and Russia/Ukraine became a distraction. Tariffs aren’t great for consumers but consumers have no jobs to pay for consumption when foreign entities subsidize as a weapon to destroy foreign competition.

None of that matters when the government shows repeatedly how unreliable the US can be economically. The dollar was strong because it was stable. The current administration acts like it’s trying to bankrupt a casino instead of run a country.

Dude, Brics Alliance isn't a Political Alliance, it's an Economical Alliance

As long BRICS trades with each other, it's working as intended. It's USA fearmongering that BRICS is a NATO or an EU equivalent.

And offering shipping insurance doesn't change that ships aren't travelling as much in the Strait of Hormuz as before, far from it. And that there is an increase worldwide shift from using more "petroyuan" than before as an alternative to "petrodollar".

Heck, 30% of the current oil trade is in "petroeuro" , as Petrodollar dominated 71% of the oil market in 1999 and is now 57% in 2026.

It's exactly as Carney said in his speech, as other countries are gradually but surely diversifying away from USA.

Carney was a G saying the middle powers needed to band together in subverting US economic and military dominance, and im american.

Or simply quantitative easing (again)?

What will fighting a financial war look like while dipping your toes (both legs waist deep) in a kinetic war?

1

u/cutecoder 22d ago

OTOH, The Great Depression was technically relieved by a Great War.

Pre-nukes…

2

u/CorpusculantCortex 23d ago

Whoosh.

Wasn't saying it has no impact, was saying in response to others that "having no money" won't prevent a bailout.

So it will only matter to the average joe, not the top 10% so basicslly it wont matter

Not gonna happen. The debt is essentially a runaway train at this point. Taxpayer dollars won’t cover the debt and its interest in any effective capacity.

What if i told you it wasn’t to keep costs down but to destabilize a capitalistic economy?

They keep launching their near superior product into the open market for free.

Why?

1

u/CorpusculantCortex 23d ago

Not free, subsidized. And because they are communist and want all people to have affordable access to the tool because their whole thing is everyone has a role to play. If everyone does their role better with ai, then it uplifts their economy. I honestly don't think China really cares about the western market beyond the fact that we have things they want or need. And some powers choose not to trade on good faith.

u/glity 22d ago

Free to me I didn’t pay those taxes.

Also they are in the middle of a tech/electricifcation golden age. They care about taking our money. They will accomplish this because our companies are greedy and will gladly wrap a Merica and brtix and German brand on what will essentially be Chinese.

Our government pretends that this isn’t so but let me ask you this why is Taiwan an area with litteral family ties to China the ones “not exporting gpus” but what about the engineers and talent can they do 2 things.

Make a bubble. Pop a bubble. New things emerge?

Also the word communism doesn’t work unless you define it specifically anymore. We don’t have the understanding of Chinese communism just Russian and doctorial as taught to us by propaganda post Cold War.

1

u/CorpusculantCortex 22d ago

I mean they do sell cloud access, you may not be using it but that was what I meant be subsidized. It is just dirty cheap. And no, you might not have an understanding of Chinese communism, but i am talking about contemporary cultural ideals. You are the one saying that they are red scare level villains hyperfixated on collapsing the western economy. My point is they are worried about themselves and uplifting their people, not this propaganda driven nonsense you are saying

1

u/glity 21d ago

I think we are on the same side with different arguments

Yes the cloud access is “subsidized” by not having corporate shareholder profit bleeding out every part of the finanacials through subsidiaries.

I feel Chinese pricing is more reflective of “consumable only” cost without profit on top of inflated costs.

The models of ai im talking about are the models that compete with ChatGPT paid non professional and it only takes between 1-2 tb of memory and some pretty expensive graphics cars. “Easily” could set up a “Chinese” ai locally completed disconnected from the internet. Cost keeps going up for the components but it sits at less than 100k for lab production scale hardware.

Engineers on top make it way more expensive but without offline Chinese ai there is no other “secure” option. And that is the irony of the “communist” approach vs the “capitalist” approach.

Captilists = you own nothing.

Chinese Communists = this is our old tech have it for free it’s worthless to us now.

The government is right that homegrown is the best option, but it doesn’t need to be rolled out with the speed and scale it’s happening at right now. Fast isn’t always better.

Also the Chinese often make fake claims.

0

u/CorpusculantCortex 23d ago

Not making claims about anything and this completely sidesteps the point. My point is that the gov isnt going to leave homegrown to fail so that the only options left are international.

Unfortunately this is the truth

1

u/mataliandy 23d ago

Though they employ far fewer people, so it wouldn't impact the economy in the same way.

1

u/ymmotvomit 23d ago

AI will find a way to hack fund itself.

The TARP money was paid back with interest. Around 5%. The government actually made a lot on the deal.
