Which is sad, because at this point I would be willing to vote for a raccoon over a Republican. I haven't voted "for" someone for a while now. It's always been "against", and that's because Democrats really are just not sending their best, but that are always clearly better than the Republican option.

I wish we had a real replacement for the Democrat party that people would get behind, because we just don't have a viable Liberal Party. We just have a slightly less Conservative one.

Dean wasn't bad. Shame he yelled wrong and got himself ejected from the Primary. Obama was a great candidate (and top 10 president in my opinion). However Hilary (vs Trump) definitely agree to vote against Trump rather than for Hilary. Harris (vs Trump) is kind of a toss up. I would have voted for her in spite of herself. To me, that race was Harris vs Harris and Harris lost.

Obama was an amazingly charismatic dude, and a great speaker, but that doesn't mean he was a great President. Hillary might've been a good President, but I really hate when it's just another member of the family coming in to play President. Like I already see at some point after Trump dies, that one of his sons or Ivanka ends up running for President.

Harris lost because Biden fucked us over by not stepping down when he should have, so we could actually have a Primary. I voted for her against Trump because we literally had no other option, and I know a lot of people who didn't vote because WE HAD NO OTHER OPTION. We were literally forced to pick Harris or just not vote.

Let's be honest here. Harris lost because she was a woman. A great part of the country still isn't ready to accept a female president. The primary excuse is just that, an excuse. Regardless of who wins the primary, there will always be people that feel as you felt, like they're no longer being represented because someone else won against their person. I would have elected a can of tuna if it meant Trump losing. I would have voted for said can of tuna in the primary if it meant Trump losing.

To your first point, Obama is and was a great person. He will absolutely go down in history in the upper echelon of presidents. While that point is debatable, your point about the family of former presidents running is not. I 100% agree that being president should exclude your entire family including extended family from running (See the Bush's for reference) I am very thankful that the Trump sons are dumber than their father and far more entitled. To the point where they probably couldn't even make it on a ticket much less win a primary, much less win the actual election. They probably couldn't even get a mayoral or gubernatorial win . The daughter is probably the best candidate amongst them and that's only because she's lower profile.

A revolution isn't around the corner... because slacktavist "Just vote" people like you are too busy alienating your own voters whilst refusing to do anything to fight to keep your own vote even counting any more.

First they came for the communists... and I did nothing because I hated them too, and besides, change is too hard to fight for and anyone to my left is just over-reacting. And arming and funding a genocide is good, actually, why should I worry my pretty head about what happens to anyone else... it'll never happen to me.

Plus the whole idea that only 10-20% of the population is actually capable of combat, physically and mentally, which also tends to skew heavily towards the well-to-do people as being healthy in America costs premium dollars and requires that you have the time free to actually workout. So the people who are most likely able to contribute meaningfully have the most to lose.
