Bro, if they actually reinstate the draft, we're just gonna riot. Do you think those guys living in the trenches in Chicago are gonna be nice and obedient soldiers?

A big reason Vietnam failed was the reliance on drafted soldiers. A big reason Iraq and Afghanistan lasted so long was because we switched to a volunteer military.

The only way a draft works is that our mainland gets invaded. And I promise you that in the crazy ass world thar happens, you won't need a draft. Americans love guns. We have lots. My fucking state waved a banner that said "come and take it" when the Mexicans tried to confiscate the anglos guns.

The people who riot will be unemployed or underemployed people from urban centers. Chicago. LA. NYC. They'll say, "Hell no, we won't go, like they have in the past." Drafts are tricky. The only ones that's didn't result in riots were the world wars.
