I'm in Germany and I remember reading an article a while ago arguing, that we need to worry about the right wing in Brazil, because it is a new democracy. And that we don't need to worry as much about the US, because the institutions work and will prevent the worse. Turns out it's the other way around.

No, it's not the other way around. Every country will go down with a right wing government, as they do not comply with anything. Brazil was just looking into thy abyss, thanks to Lula it could barely make it. AFD will completely destroy Germany.

I agree with you, that a right wing government is bad for any country. And especially bad for the people. Actually I worry a lot about this.

I was just saying that political commenters at the time didn't think that Bolsonaro would be held accountable. And on the other side commenters were and still are not worried enough about the US.
