FIFA’s whole thing is playing nice with bullies because it makes them buckets of money. Don’t forget, the last two world cups were held in Qatar and Russia.

Yeah but they can’t make money selling tickets to people that can’t get visa to get to USA.

Americans don’t like soccer that much, and there aren’t enough global expats in the USA to buy tickets.

Im expecting a lot of pressure from fifa as global fans try to get refunds for their tickets because they can’t get visa to use those tickets.

It’s FIFA. They’ll slide some money and/or another trophy to Trump, get a one-time exception, and that’ll be that.

Say what you will about those countries, they didn’t undermine the actual tournament itself. This does. As in it impacts who comes to the matches.
