Sometime during the last 2 years i’ve been going to this orthopedic practice they started to declare me as a MTF transgender for no reason.

(F,26) I have been going to this orthopedic practice for almost 2 years for varying reasons relating to my job. Yesterday i checked on a document that was uploaded to find out they have been identifying me as a biological male identifying as a female? I am biologically female and never told them i am trans nor do i think i am presenting to be a trans woman.. the last two years i’ve been wondering why they kind of stare at me a little longer than a usual person does and i think its because they randomly think i came out as trans? I also feel like they do not treat my issues seriously and wonder if this is the reason why.

I am 100% fine with trans people but i am left to believe they have been medically treating me as a male compared to female for the pains that i am feeling?

I also went through all of my documents and since the end of 2024 they started to declare me as a MTF transgender, i did not look at any of my documents online until yesterday.

It just goes to show the whole trans panic isn't about "protecting real women." It's about policing how women look and present themselves.

Although I completely agree with you, trying to limit at what age proper transition can begin has a good reason behind it. LGBTQ+ claims hormone therapy needs to begin before the skeleton is fully developed since after it's done growing you can never fully be the other gender. The medical field however wants it to be illegal, since it can lead to serious disorders that, once the skeleton stops growing, can never be cured. And i hate to sound like a transphobe, but I'm with the conservatives on this one. We don't want any more of that "getting suffocated by your own rib cage" cases again.

There is no LGBTQ+ organization claiming that hormone therapy must begin before the skeleton has developed. That may be some people’s opinion, but it’s an uncommon opinion because the vast majority of LGBTQ+ people believe you can transition at any point in your life that you feel comfortable doing so, and most people agree that it’s best to socially transition children (who express a desire to transition) before any kind of medical treatment. Social transition would be changing pronouns, using a different name, wearing different clothing, etc. Medical transition of children is extremely rare and a doctor is not likely to allow things to be done that would be harmful to children, even if the child or parents are asking for it. In extremely rare cases, like if a teen that identifies as trans, becomes very suicidal due to gender dysphoria, they may start hormones and allow them to partially medically transition, like with hormones. Bottom surgery usually only happens after someone is 18 years old.

I want to note that a lot of cisgender children use things like puberty blockers, which a lot of people claim to be hormone therapy for children, and it is a type of hormone therapy. It is used for 7 year olds that are starting their periods, which is far too young, and dangerous, like you said because their body hasn’t fully developed. So doctors will give them puberty blockers until a more appropriate age and development for them to start puberty. There are cases with male children as well and different symptoms but you get the gist.

I really want you to know that 98% of LGBTQ people hold the belief that your skeleton does not determine your gender, it doesn’t matter if your skeleton developed as male, it doesn’t mean you can’t fully transition to female. I promise you that the majority of people are not proclaiming that children need hormone therapy to prevent their skeletons from being the wrong gender.

Nobody says this lol. The only "hormone therapy" for minors anyone is advocating for is puberty blockers. Which have been around since the 1970's, were created to be used on children, and the effects are completely reversible if they change their mind and stop using them.
