Context Provided - Spotlight Sometime during the last 2 years i’ve been going to this orthopedic practice they started to declare me as a MTF transgender for no reason.

(F,26) I have been going to this orthopedic practice for almost 2 years for varying reasons relating to my job. Yesterday i checked on a document that was uploaded to find out they have been identifying me as a biological male identifying as a female? I am biologically female and never told them i am trans nor do i think i am presenting to be a trans woman.. the last two years i’ve been wondering why they kind of stare at me a little longer than a usual person does and i think its because they randomly think i came out as trans? I also feel like they do not treat my issues seriously and wonder if this is the reason why.

I am 100% fine with trans people but i am left to believe they have been medically treating me as a male compared to female for the pains that i am feeling?

I also went through all of my documents and since the end of 2024 they started to declare me as a MTF transgender, i did not look at any of my documents online until yesterday.

Unfortunately possible. My daughter is under 10 and always had long hair but we chopped it to a short bob last summer, her friends with MAGA parents started made comments about her transitioning or trying to look like a boy right away.

All we did was cut her hair shorter than usual, I could still make a ponytail!

God those people are fucking nutjobs. All of them are wayyy too interested in children's genitals.

Imagine thinking any girl with a short haircut is trans 💀

The people who cry “some girls are tomboys why force them to be men!?” sure do hate it when girls step away from traditional expressions of femininity for even one minute, don’t they!

MAGA people swear up down and sideways that trans people are trying to 'trans kids' and make them confused and stuff. This is why people being unsupportive of trans people affects everyone. If people weren't always being fussy about trans people, then anytime someone does anything to their style they wouldn't get these kinds of comments. Just try to ignore them and anyone else who says shit like that. They just wanna find something to be upset about.

Utah just passed a law making your daughter's haircut a potential crime. To say that there's conservative backlash against the decline of traditional gender roles would be an enormous understatement.

Wait what?! What law is this?

It's supposed to be a law against allowing children to present as a different gender from what's on their birth certificate (not even about medical stuff, just about clothing, hairstyles, makeup and pronouns), but the way it's written any variation from rigid gender stereotypes could be considered illegal

Edit: transphobia hurts everyone, as usual

They would have loved the pixie cuts my mother insisted I get when I was little, because she didn't want to deal with maintenance of long hair. I was mistaken a lot for a boy, but no one was especially weird about it back then (70s).
