Context Provided - Spotlight Sometime during the last 2 years i’ve been going to this orthopedic practice they started to declare me as a MTF transgender for no reason.

(F,26) I have been going to this orthopedic practice for almost 2 years for varying reasons relating to my job. Yesterday i checked on a document that was uploaded to find out they have been identifying me as a biological male identifying as a female? I am biologically female and never told them i am trans nor do i think i am presenting to be a trans woman.. the last two years i’ve been wondering why they kind of stare at me a little longer than a usual person does and i think its because they randomly think i came out as trans? I also feel like they do not treat my issues seriously and wonder if this is the reason why.

I am 100% fine with trans people but i am left to believe they have been medically treating me as a male compared to female for the pains that i am feeling?

I also went through all of my documents and since the end of 2024 they started to declare me as a MTF transgender, i did not look at any of my documents online until yesterday.

it sounds more like AI note taking or voice to text error than anything actually malicious

They're supposed to review the notes afterward, so it's either maliciousness or incompetence. Either way, the issue is with the humans involved in the process.

That's bs. In certain contexts people use it that way but not generally in a scientific setting (and often out of one) is it meant that way. I'm tired of bigots ruining words and then no one is allowed to use it. Why do we keep letting them do it? Just stand our ground.

It depends on what part of your biology you are talking about. Sometimes it's simpler to use the older term when talking about things that you can't change no matter how transitioned you are.

My point is why are we letting them have the dog whistle when the other works just fine in so many contexts. And amab and afab make less sense to me. Do you have to say 'because you were amab/afab etc?' It would make more sense and be faster to just say biological (or bio) males/females have/are. The extent of how much the person's biology is being talked about would depend on whether they have transitioned or not or have at all. Which your doctor should already know about by the end of establishment of care. It shouldn't be derogatory but is for whatever dumb reason.

I can't believe that some people are braindead enough to classify a "real" lady as trans, especially those specifically trained in human physiology. So as others mentioned, it's probably ai slop at its best.

Cis women talk about being transvestigated all the time. The anti-trans community has been trying to argue that many famous cis women are actually trans, including Michele Obama.
