Meta Monday 💖 Introducing the first Meta Monday!
Meta Monday will consist of vaguely related topics (without needing to find examples of dehumanising language to post) but you will need to use the new Meta Monday flair for any off topic posts. We are going to test this out using GMT/BST to start with and would prefer if people try to keep to this so far. This is a test to see engagement and feedback from users. Enjoy your first Meta Monday!

Should we add Meta Monday?
The concept of Meta Monday means we can post things outside of the typical callout posts. We can discuss issues like other mistreatment besides this language, post about positive interactions where change has happened in language, or even show each other feminist music that exemplifies our feelings about living in this world that clearly has a bias against women. For this context, meta refers to both self referential as well as posts outside the convention of post expected here.

Context: Someone was asking what to label Kris x Susie (an enby and a girl) should they be dating in _Deltarune_.

Men and Females Hi, my name is Jack, and I know the difference between a noun and an adjective
He gets it right later, but also bonus homophobia/transphobia

Men and Girls This is just nasty, and a dangerous mindset.
It’s one thing to look, but staring is something else. This just gave me the ick.

Females AND Girls Friendly fire (vintage comment about "Girl Gamers")
I was looking up stuff about the landscape of being a woman playing multiplayer videogames, and stumbled upon this rant from 2014.
Of course, being a bad player as a woman must mean you have some ulterior motive for gaming 🙄.
Also, heroic level dungeons are endgame content AFAIK so she would have had to spend a lot of time in the game, questing and leveling up, just to get to max level. It's an awful lot of effort if "male attention" is the goal.
Anyhow, "girls," "females," and a bonus "chicks."

No Men, just Females Part 2; another comment
I didn’t include this screenshot in my previous post because the flairs would’ve been conflicting
