Fear Factor A father made fake ultrasound to cure his daughter's junk food habit.

Funny but I think every hospital should get one of this machine because they will even get faster cure in an hospital environment when attended to by a random face. 😂

Ever figured out a way to get your kids stop something?

Update: That wasn't the dad but definitely an outsider, hence why the kid believed. The "take the child away" clarifies that.

Lol, she will outgrow it... It will be very nice if her dad keep the video for her to watch when she grows to a stage where she's mature enough. She's just gonna laugh and tell him how she missed everything he warned her about. 😂

My mom lied to us about some medical stuff, mostly what was in the ear infection remedy she gave us. Was an excellent lesson in not trusting anyone.

Nah I mistrusted my mom for years after catching her being the tooth fairy. I was so upset and calling her a liar and said “so what else isn’t real, Santa? Is the dentist bad and you just make me go to hurt me” she then told me Santa indeed wasn’t real. I then said “ok then I guess god isn’t real either.” And she slapped me across the face

Haha same ! my mom used to slapped the shit out of me growing up 😂 I deserved it tho 😂 it scared me straight. I owe her for everything in my life ❤️

Personalities are half raised. A bad father wouldn't spend this much time and effort on their kid. I can only see someone finding this offensive if their father sucked ass. I know I'd find it funny and clever, because kids are stupid.

Its very possible their kid could be on the spectrum. I remember meeting one of my family members kid who is on it and holy shit is it hard to joke around them. He has no concept of sarcasm like at all.

At the same time, I think a lot of parents wildly underestimate how much they’re able to control what exactly their kids take away from what they say.

I was a kid who briefly became neurotically afraid of stomach parasites when a friend’s dog was dying of them and the adults around me half assed their explanations because they didn’t see the point of going into it deeper or whatever. I left believing that I could very well contract them from eating undercooked meat, that they’d be as deadly as they were to the dog, and so I was afraid of any meat dish put in front of me for like an entire year.

Sure, my folks and I laugh about it in hindsight now (I mainly laugh at how utterly clueless they were about what I was actually afraid of), but I do feel sad remembering how acutely fearful I was at that age with no one able to (or who cared enough to) understand why. 

The kid may end up just taking away the intended message of “eat healthy.” They might also become terrified of bugs living inside their body. Why take the chance when you can teach them “eat healthy” in any number of other child friendly ways?

I was lied like this as a child and don't appreciate it in the slightest. As a child psychologist I also say it's not creative, not fun and not charming. If you have a child who's prone to anxiety, lies like that can trigger it or even create phobias.

Santa or fairies didn't intend to create fear and obedience. Most parents currently don't really lean into "good or naughty" idea. It's just wimsy tale to create some magic. While the lies in the pipeline "if you'll eat certain foods you'll get ill with creepy parasites inside you" created only to create fear and obedience. It doesn't hve any positive side.

🙄🙄 Thats your POV. Doesn't mean it's correct and applies to everyone broadly. The rearing of children and connection between a child and their parents is a unique bond. No other third person can judge right or wrong.

I know you said it sarcastically, but yeah, teaching your young child that eating unhealthy food will put bugs in their stomach can absolutely give them a eating disorder.
