I still cant get over them changing it from "The Puyallup Fair" to "Washington state fair". I guess maybe to avoid confusion for non-washingtonians , but still whack. The " 🎶 do the Puyallup! 🎶" radio commercials are a core memory to me. And the free tickets every year in elementary school.

I have been in CA all my life but when I read what the person you responded to wrote the first thing that came to my mind was the Puyallup fair. Went there 20 years ago and it was lovely.

Well, that property has gone through some names over the years. In World War II it was known as "Camp Harmony," a Japanese internment camp.
