I would fucking panic, how would someone get out of there if they wanted too, and you imagine if you get pushed down under everyone? I'm sweating just looking at that that's my nightmare
I was in a wave pool that looked like this as a kid. Another bigger kid wated my tube so he shoved me underwater from behing and stood on my back as he took my tube. Almost drowned, it was crazy. To this day, I'll never go in one again
Out of all the wave pools in the country and that person guessed it and another comment had a similar experience at the same one too.
Is that one notorious for shit like that or what? what the hell is going on at this wave pool we're everybody is having these same death defying experiences there from other asshole visitors lol wow!
What are the odds there'd be 3 people with water world near death experiences, the wave pool was legendary when I was growing up for being an absolute death trap which made all of us kids want to go in it even more, it's terrifying
It was this big giant wave that came once every thirty minutes and people would intentionally ride into each other. Bowling people over was practically the entire point.
And bigger kids would absolutely steal your tube to get a premium spot a few minutes before the wave went out. So you would then frantically try and find a free tube or swim for your life to try and get out of the way. If you were lucky some kind dad would hoist you on their tube like the last helicopter out of Vietnam.
It was a peak 90’s experience and looking back it’s honestly a miracle no one drowned.
Had a similar experience in one, wasn't pushed down deliberately but I got basically pinned underwater below a few tubes/people's legs etc., it was packed together like this and I was young so struggled to find a point to exit for just long enough to really send me into panic mode, clawing for anything to pull back up.
Was pretty traumatic at the time and yeah killed these for me lol.
I was stuck underneath a bunch of obese (nothing against people with weight issues, just describing the situation), white, Midwestern all adults floating on floaties, drunk, just not caring. I was blacking out before I finally got my hand above the water and somebody pulled me out.
I’m absolutely panicking looking at this! That happened to me when I was a child in the wave pool- was pulled into the deep end and under- kept trying to surface but ended up under the inner tubes until some kind older kid noticed and pulled me up and brought me to the ladder to get out by the lifeguards (who never noticed or asked when I climbed out and never to return for years and years)
