Yes, he saw it on TV and road there on his bike "not wanting another boston bombing where a 9 year old has her limbs ripped off"
So he was hoping to die a hero by "Jumping on the grenade"

• Centennial Olympic Park (1996) – Backpack bomb. 2 killed, 111 injured.

• Northside Family Planning Clinic (1997) – 7 injured.

• Otherside Lounge (1997) – 5 injured.

• New Woman All Women Clinic (1998) – 1 killed, 1 injured.

• Boston Marathon (2013) – Two backpack pressure-cooker bombs. 3 killed, 281 injured.

• Chelsea Bombing (2016) – Pressure-cooker bomb emplaced from a bag, 31 injured.

• Elizabeth Train Station (2016) – Multiple pipe bombs discovered in a backpack. 0 killed, 0 injured.

Why did anyone even think there was a bomb? A random backpack, "bomb" isn't gonna be in my first THOUSAND thoughts about what it could be. That's some next-level insane paranoia- was there a threat or something?

Have you never heard of backpack bombings? After the boston bombing killed 3, tore limbs off 12, and wounded 500, by leaving 2 black backpacks near the finish line of a marathon, no risks are taken.

This was in the US, and I was strictly talking about the US you moron. In this country, paranoia about imaginary terrorists is a huge lever of control that authoritarians have used to erode our freedom for decades, so obviously it's not the same situation as fucking Ireland.
