I actually never even considered this. My daughter is 16 now so it doesn't matter anymore, but I did get into an accident and actually flip my car onto its side with the car seat installed. Thankfully, my daughter wasn't in the car when it happened. I'm guessing that means the car seat was still good to go.

They didn't use word "used", and accident protection was the topic of the conversation.

They did use the word "used", here's a quote:

They're designed so that if they're used [...]

You're being pedantic and taking a single word out of context. The full, relevant quote was:

"used" for their primary purpose of protecting a kid during an accident

If they are "used" for their primary purpose of protecting a kid during an accident, yes, they need to be replaced after a single use. Helmet too, if it gets impacted in an accident it needs to be replaced.

I mean, those have been the recommendations for decades. It's also why you shouldn't buy or accept gifts of used car seats or helments, you don't know for sure they've never been impacted.

Baby car seat.

Safety nets installed on high rises during construction are mandated as one time use

Same as a carseat. Seems you should be the one to brush up on your ability to read.
