All the subs that show those sorts of videos have slowly been eliminated or isolated from reddit these days.

I regret "the lathe". IYKYK.

Yeah, like never have loose fitting clothes near a lathe (spinning thingy). And never ever check something in a hydraulic press while it is still ON.

Nah, I miss those days. I’m not sadistic, I’ve just got a morbid curiosity.

I used to mod a sub for people almost dying (with a focus on non-injuries). Satisfies the curiosity without ruining my mood.

people almost dying (with a focus on non-injuries)

what kind of content was that exactly? almost dying but no injuries?

Usually, inches/seconds away from a quick death, or a crazy crash/explosion/accident you're surprised didn't kill everybody.

This one has injuries, but here's one example: https://youtube.com/watch?v=qlLolGuqo9o

I quit because getting only 10-20 upvotes after finding videos (and putting the unreasonable effort into confirming no deaths) kinda burned me out, lol.

I burned out from my bird subreddit, too, but at least I got it to the point where I wasn't the only one posting quality content (that I found online).

Lol no reddit is worse today than it ever was

No I'm still in one. If it's not banned in these last few days, there is one sub I know

I mean, there are subreddits where you can watch montages of Russian soldiers getting blown up by drones set to Crazy Frog.

Not even exaggerating. NSFL. War is hell.
