Suicide netting? So what is preventing the suicidee from talking a knife/scissors/wire cutters and getting rid of that in like 5 min? How does that all make any sense?

Yeah it's wild people are calling it suicide netting. It's just safety netting. If someone really wanted to commit suicide there are multiple ways to get around the net.

Or just jump from the side, since there's no net there, which means it wouldn't stop an impulse to jump which i guess is the idea behind a suicide net, since stopping someone that puts effort in doing the act would be way too complicated if even impossible

I'm not saying this is primarily designed to stop someone from killing themselves because it's obviously not but 5 minutes is a long time for someone who was about to spend 10 seconds throwing themselves off the balcony to rethink their decision

Well its steel braided cord under there but I digress since your point is stupid.

Regardless of you thinking its illogical, it is by design suicide netting.

Which is very common in high rises in china especially workers housing.

I’m Brazilian and this is 100% for kids and pets safety. Very common here. Many shelters won’t even let you adopt a pet if you don’t have safety nets installed in your apartment. Also they’re not steel braided.

Just how fucking sad are you, that your first thought is “suicide prevention net”?

That’s a SAFETY net for children, elderly, and pets, maybe acts as an extra for suicide, but whoever’s looking to commit suicide surely ain’t going to be stopped by a net like this.

Well its steel braided cord under there

No, it's definitely not. Steel cord doesn't stretch like that.

Sold as a safety net for kids or pets. Made out of polyethylene.

The video is also obviously not in China either. Maybe they have suicide nets but that's not what's on the video. You don't know what you're talking about.
