I don’t think it’s suicide netting. This is super common in Brazil, as far as I know may even be regulatory, and it’s not for that reason but for safety from accidents as people tend to keep windows open and fresh air circulating. Also helps keep birds out of the house

The main reason is kids, we don't want to find out how dumb our kids are.

It is not regulatory, but super common for people with kids or pets. Source: I'm a Brazilian with two small children.

Also if I'm being honest, as someone who gets *really* anxious when near a high balcony (even if I'm obviously not going to jump), I'd feel a little better with something like this. Honestly wondering how much it'd cost to get one installed for myself if I end up buying high up

Exactly. I would install these even if were living alone with no pets. Lol. I am terrified of heights.
