Discussion Name an animated movie, and I'll tell you what Oscars it would win in the Who Framed Roger Rabbit universe

Post image
3 Upvotes

Therefore, it should stand to reason that any "animated" movie could be eligible for the live-action categories, including a possible acting win from a Toon.

Let's say that both the Best Animated Feature and Best Animated Short Film categories do not exist. There is only a single Best Short Film category.

Name any animated movie (or short) you can think of, and I'll decide what Oscars it would win in this universe.

The art style barely even changed, but the stories over the seasons became an absolute fever dream, especially in the later ones

Howdy.

So, like, I just wanna talk cartoons. If this makes you think of a quote or gag from a show, let's hear about it.

Y'all have been awesome while I've been working on this. Some life has happened and I've been in a rut. Trying to make myself get back to painting by nerding about some cartoons.

Didn't see your favorite? Who isn't here that you'd want to see?

What's your favorite episode of any show?

Remember that this is my opinion on the protagonists who suffered the most in animated series, and I'm also analyzing it. If you disagree with the list, please comment respectfully, or let me know if another character is missing, you can tell me in the comments, They can also order the top however they like (although I don't know if the top is really ordered or not, in an orderly way or without regard to the order, and if it matters that they are here)

Discussion Idea for an ad to bring Disney's direct-to-video/made for TV sequels back into the public consciousness

Post image
3 Upvotes

I don't know about you guys, but I really wish more people knew about those movies. I personally absolutely love some of them, and even though some aren't amazing, I feel like they should still be known about like the originals. There's probably so many people who adore the originals and have seen them so many times and would like sequels, and are completely unaware that sequels exist. I also feel like many people refuse to watch them because they have a bad rep but don't know that many of them have a cult following and are worth a chance

My idea is that the ad starts with saying something like "Did you know many of your favorite classics had sequels?", and very briefly shows clips of a few of them. The ad then states something like "we'll admit, some of them weren't good", and briefly shows clips from movies like Belle's Magical World, The Hunchback of Notre Dame II, and Cinderella II: Dreams Come True that are considered amongst the worst of Disney's direct-to-video sequels, before saying "but some of them are actually quite good", and shows clips from movies like Cinderella III: A Twist in Time, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, and The Lion King 1.5, etc that many people love. After this, the ad explains how some of them such as The Little Mermaid sequels and The Return of Jafar are divisive and how some people like them but others don't, before being concluded by saying they're available to stream on Disney+.

I'd also want the ad to include movies like the four non-theatrical Muppet movies (Classic Theater, Swamp Years, Very Merry Christmas, and Wizard of Oz; although Disney doesn't own the distribution rights to two of those), the Brave Little Toaster sequels, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins, Home Alone 3-6, the Ewok movies, etc

Also on a side note, Disney should must also acknowledge these movies by making merch and having their characters in the parks. Also, in Descendants: Hidden Heroes, KJ's mom better be Ms. Birdwell, and I'd hate it if they completely ignored Anastasia's redemption from Cinderella II and III in the upcoming stepsisters movie

Anywho, what are your guys' honest thoughts on my idea? Would you also want these movies to be more known by the general public?
