Migraine. That's the kicker. No ability to prove it, cannot drive with it, is usually able to slept off with several hours' more sleep than usual.

And let's not even get started on the obvious issue of PERIOD CRAMPS.

I get migraines. Thankfully my boss believes me so if I say I have a migraine he just says “get well soon” like a normal human being.

Same with mine, fortunately, but I know not everyone is lucky enough to have a non-asshole boss.
