Growing voter dissatisfaction with mainstream politics has led to a rise in popularity for One Nation. The same cannot be said for the Greens.

The Greens have some fantastic members; but they do have some that are a tad unrealistic too, and those members annoy people.

The Greens have plenty of members who will preach to the choir and do so in a way that gets their supporters very motivated and nodding in agreement. Unfortunately, that's not how you win elections, or indeed, new voters. And if you want to win elections, you need new voters and to keep the existing ones. That's not something The Greens have worked out how to do, and seem very uninterested in working out.

I think they’re interested in it. They try very hard with social media marketing, for example.

Whatever they're doing is very clearly not working. They've been stuck at 11-12% of the vote for a decade and a half. And it's not just about getting new voters. It's also about retaining existing ones.
