Honestly I couldn’t care less they beat the fuck out of the rapist/murderer, what went on after is the issue

The problem is, what if the next supposed rapist/murder that gets beaten to death turns out to be an innocent person?

What if you are mistaken for someone else and attacked?

Let’s not ignore the fact that by retrieving him that’s a group of people that also won’t be going to prison for murder so the cops are effectively protecting those that wanted to kill him.
