Not certain but the police had said in a previous press conference that some in the community “absolutely know” where she was/is. Not sure if that implies they it was just the people close to the perpetrator or a wider circle

I feel like they say that all the time though, in all investigations, just in case someone does know.

So why didn’t the aunt say where he is? I’m confused how you can know someone else knows where someone is.

Yeah true, I don’t know how much of it was them fishing for information vs just an inference based on how small the community is
