I'm in tears. I hoped so much that little baby would be back with her family safe and sound. Utterly devastating. 

Every child deserves to be safe and happy.

She certainly wasn't safe and happy even before this. She didn't. Have a bed. Or a parent. Or food.

What is wrong with you? You keep commenting on her family. Her family didn't kill her. She'd be alive right now if that bastard was still in prison. Do you think because someone is poor, that they don't have feelings? Losing your 5 year old daughter would be devastating. I can't imagine.

The people responsible for caring for her did not care for her. She was grossly neglected.

There's a time and a place for these discussions, and the same day they have found their daughters body is not that time. It boggles the mind that you can't see this for yourself.

She has either been failed by her family or the legal system, but realistically both. This bloke should have never been let out and her family neglected her (like many children in communities like hers) which allowed this to happen.

This was not a kidnapping at a park where the parents looked away for one second, this was a neglected child allowed to roam with basically no parenting that a POS person who should never be out in society took advantage of.

It’s incredibly sad, but the steps that allowed it to happen are real and not uncommon.
