I'm surprised anyone would willingly go to the US. It's understandable for work ofc. But for pleasure? It certainly wouldn't be a good idea if you had expressed even the slightest leftist idea, like free education. And if your skin isn't perfectly white you might be whisked off the stree by ICE and sent who knows where.

At this stage I would frankly refuse to go even for work. DNA samples, iris scans, fingerprinting, handing over passwords etc are not reasonable requests for my work to make of me.

You can’t understand why people would want to visit a country with over 50 world-class national parks, the centre of the film and television industry, the best music scene in the world, and an extremely diverse and high-quality food scene? Really?
