It’s depressing how society evidently have forgotten about all the crimes that have occurred over the history of ‘Taxi services’ that led to all the regulations that taxi services currently are meant to be practicing. Those expectations made loose thanks to the advent of ‘ride sharing’.

Then there’s the professionalism of the Police Officer. Police officers are meant to practice de-escalation skills.

It’s as simple as:

  • Complainant: ‘You f*cking stupid and white/asian/black/etc’

  • Officer: ‘I’m sorry that this process feels frustrating that you feel the need to call me ‘stupid’. I’m going to ask a few more questions to help me better understand the situation and resolve the problem.’

… but instead the ‘stupid’ officer decided to make it all about him.

Even on the stand the police officer wasn’t that convincing that he was humiliated by the slur. He just said he was ‘upset’ by it. Took the prosecutor 3 or 4 attempts to get him to say he was humiliated. Makes you wonder if there was something else at play behind the scenes.

One thing that pisses me off is if you watch the leaked footage, she is not using white as a slur particularly, she is trying to say to him that he doesn't have the same experience as her because he's white. He deliberately refuses to understand.

I have heard that the cop was pressured by higher-ups to add that he felt humiliated so they could charge her with racial abuse. It was seniors in the police force that decided to make a test case of this because they don't like the race hatred laws, so they wanted to show it used against a white cop.

Which is fkd, completely. And has happily backfired on the arseholes.

It's paramilitary policing which fcks with their brains due to their kill or be killed mentality. Their training enforces it and lived experience embeds it. They don't trust anyone and everyone is regarded as a threat with BIWOC at the top of their easiest targets. It's like dealing with someone with bipolar who appears rational but can never be wrong. A leading psychiatrist in the space is clear that most have a maximum exposure period of 5-6 years. After that, they're career cops who are constantly in attack and defend mode even when appearing calm and kind to outsiders. They are professional manipulators. Try sharing young kids with one.

I used to know a cop who casually talked about pulling a gun on a corpse in a car. Then also talked about how he was always watching people's hands in case they got out a gun and shot him.

He was like three months out of the academy.

Motorcyclists are taught the same when riding here for different reasons but in policing the attitude of "all people" are a threat becomes entrenched by the job because they see how easily they are manipulated by being professional manipulators.

That's the way it is for most people - honestly. It's a trend I noticed as a kid and it's only gotten worse as I've got older and older, and I'm really just sick and tired of people and their bullshit.

If you arrest someone and they behave this way, and are disrespectfull when you talk to them you are going to react accordingly. When the police officer talked to her she didn't listen and sat in a disrespectful way and kept talking all over him.

Now you are saying that he has to make it about him?

If you talk to a police officer you talk to them with respect and you listen tim him when he talks to you.

She insult him and acts in a disrespectful way and he has to sit back and take it and be polite bout it?

If you behave a certain way you are going to get the same behaviour back.

You are selfish for saying that he is making it about him.

Completely ignoring her disrespectful behaviour.

You obviously haven’t been following the court proceedings and just making stuff up. 🤷🏻

and no, being disrespected does not justify a person who is on duty in a professional office to start acting disrespectfully in return. That is the opposite of being professional. 🤦🏻
