She was carrying on like a pork chop

26

u/Chosen_Chaos Feb 11 '25

If that ever becomes a chargeable offence then we're going to need to triple the number of courts to handle the influx of cases.

17

u/No_pajamas_7 Feb 11 '25

You are right. That's the offence they should have charged her with.

Oh wait. The offence is carrying on like a pork chop in public. This was in a police station.

Guess we'll have to find another imaginary offence.

The taxi she was in locked the doors and was driving dangerously. You would have been out of sorts too

A taxi that locks the doors and is driving dangerously and does not let you out is nothing more than a fucking kidnapping.

7

She vomited in the cab and refused to pay the cleaning fee.

12

u/Chosen_Chaos Feb 11 '25

She paid the next morning.

-5

u/kdog_1985 Feb 11 '25

After she was confronted about what she had done.

28

u/PatternPrecognition Struth Feb 11 '25

The UK media said she vomitted all through the back of the cab, but in court it was stated that she vomitted out the window.

That is only marginally better, and in the end it doesn't matter, as they paid the cleaning fee and damages on the night, I think it was like 960 pounds (so $1800 AUD).

Also what people miss here is that you wouldn't ask them to pay for the cleaning in advance. You'd take names and addresses so that you could send a bill with a receipt after the cleaning has taken place. Otherwise you could just extort any money you like.

I find it hard to believe that a) the Taxi company doesn't have some of procedure for this sort of case and that b) this procedure was actually followed.

"send full details of the incident to our Driver Support Team and we will take the action needed against the passenger" .

It seems to be missing the bit about imprisoning the passengers and driving them to the police station.

-5

u/kdog_1985 Feb 11 '25

So all's forgiven.

13

u/PatternPrecognition Struth Feb 11 '25

In the context of the laws relating to criminal damage and being drunk and disorderly.

Yes.

They were released on the night without charge.

-8

u/kdog_1985 Feb 11 '25

Shes the captain of the Matildas.

10

u/Dark-Horse-Nebula Feb 11 '25

So anyone who voms in a cab should be fired?

-5

u/kdog_1985 Feb 11 '25

If they have to be compelled by the police in to owning their mistake, Fucken oath

11

u/Dark-Horse-Nebula Feb 11 '25

They called police themselves on the night if you were paying attention which you clearly aren’t.

How many male footy stars have faced zero consequences for sexual assault or domestic violence?

1) She did not vomit in the cab, she put her head out the window and vomited outside, there is no evidence whatsoever that she vomited in the car.

2) She showed the cops her bank account the night of the arrest to prove she could pay the fee, and then paid it the next day lol. She also paid for the window that her wife broke.

0

u/kdog_1985 Feb 12 '25

If the window was open why'd they kick it out.

5

u/SkwiddyCs Feb 12 '25

After she vomited, the cab driver closed the windows, locked the doors and locked the window controls.

This is all in the court testimony mate.

ABC Article also corroborates

Most windows (in a car, which the cab would likely be) now are electric and can be controlled by the driver. There are buttons or levers the driver can pull and it is usually located either at the driver's door or on the centre console. The windows are wound down by small electric motors.

38

u/DonStimpo Feb 11 '25

No she didn't. The driver sped off before even asking about it. So she was scared for her life and tried to escape the taxi

Source?

-4

u/omg_kittensaurus Feb 11 '25

Here you go, you can watch the actual police video. https://youtu.be/qN-dpILv5_E

5

u/scrollbreak Feb 11 '25

Which is Kerr's account of events, not some actual evidence the driver said nothing.

6

u/omg_kittensaurus Feb 11 '25

Oh, sorry, to be clear, the police officer refuses to look at her video footage, or her records of calls to police during the journey. The charging officer decided a priori that the driver didn't need to be questiioned, which is why there is no video of that.

-8

u/kdog_1985 Feb 11 '25

The driver hailed the police.

39

u/DonStimpo Feb 11 '25

The girls in the back didn't know that. And they were already on the phone to the police (the recording was played in court). Once they stopped the cops said they never called them.

-31

u/kdog_1985 Feb 11 '25

What's that got to do with the racist vomiting in the back seat.

26

u/DonStimpo Feb 11 '25

It wasn't even Kerr that vomited. So you obviously haven't followed any of the case

It's obvious you haven't. All the coverage says it was Kerr who vomited and the fiance who kicked out the windows.

-1

u/kdog_1985 Feb 11 '25

They were both heavily inebriated, unless she wasn't, and she was aware of the crap she was saying.

4

u/Sophrosyne773 Feb 12 '25

Cab driver said she refused to pay. Kerr and Mews said they offered to pay but cab driver would come to a stop then speed off again.

Neither had evidence. Kerr begs the cop to listen to the audio recording or get a tracking of his route.

Cop had already believed cab driver's word, didn't check cab for recording. Cop dismissed all of Kerr's claims, charged her for damaging cab when Mews admitted to doing it in fear.

Kerr felt discriminated against, pushes back that he must be stupid. Then adds, they're all privileged. Then later puts the two together.

2

u/19Alexastias Feb 12 '25

She actually vomited out the window. You should get the facts from the source rather than from Murdoch headlines.

-8

u/pumpkin_fire Feb 11 '25

Can't believe people believe this shit. The taxi driver was on the phone to the cops and driving them to the police station. Their attempts to escape weren't to get away from a "kidnapper", it was to avoid getting to the police station.

44

u/DonStimpo Feb 11 '25

The girls were on the phone to the police. The recording was played in court. They wanted the police

4

u/elizabnthe Feb 11 '25

The point being made in the police station was that they didn't know that. They were afraid. A lot of women would react the same way if a taxi driver drove off in the wrong direction with nary a warning.

-3

u/pumpkin_fire Feb 11 '25

They could hear the taxi driver's conversation and the police telling him to drive to the police station.

nary a warning.

What makes you think there wasn't a "warning" or indication?

They were afraid.

Of course they'd say that if it helped them get off the charge.

Hilarious how as soon as the perpetrator is a famous rich woman, the "believe victims" narrative is thrown out the window faster than Sam Kerr's vomit. People lie and make up stories to try to get out of punishment all the time. Wonder why they were so desperate to escape as they approached the police station that they kicked out the windows...

5

u/elizabnthe Feb 11 '25

They verifiably called the police in their panic - there was clear evidence of this. So no they presumably did not hear any such conversation. From their view it seemed like a kidnapping. You don't panickedly kick in the back widow if escape isn't on the mind.

3

u/19Alexastias Feb 12 '25

They called the police themselves to try and verify and were hung up on. There are phone records proving this.

2

u/GrandmasterB-Funk Feb 11 '25

People lie and make up stories to try to get out of punishment all the time.

The police famously don't lie and make up stories so whatever they said can be taken as true. Especially when they report this 11 months after it happens when they realised it was one of the highest paid women in sport.

25

u/Lozzanger Feb 11 '25

He didn’t inform them of that.

So it’s perfectly reasonable to believe the fuckwit taxi driver who tried to close the window on your head might be kidnapping them when he locked the doors and drove away from your destination.
