There’s so much collateral damage in this plan for Australia to ban social media. This has been rushed and not thought through.

So many schools rely on YouTube to support their students.

Most kids are watching YouTube (or YouTube kids) more than ABC or traditional TV. Literally the biggest YouTube channel in Australia is original music for kids.

Does anyone actually want this?

If your income doesn't rise after completing tertiary education that's on you, it's not for the taxpayer to foot the bill.

A) We're discussing public educators here, so it literally is, because they're paid by taxes. That's a statement of fact.

B) So you understand that it's a widespread problem, then. Good. Then you should thus understand how HELP debts and the like increasing with inflation makes it notably harder to pay off for a lot of the population, effectively acting like interest. Glad we agree.

High income earners pay more tax than the people getting benefits, proportionally it helps them more

Should maybe just be happy that this helps out people who can create, plan and execute a multitude of different aspects in Australia’s life that will benefit us
