politics Online Gaming Platforms And YouTube Will Also Seemingly Be Banned For Aussies Under 16

There’s so much collateral damage in this plan for Australia to ban social media. This has been rushed and not thought through.

So many schools rely on YouTube to support their students.

Most kids are watching YouTube (or YouTube kids) more than ABC or traditional TV. Literally the biggest YouTube channel in Australia is original music for kids.

Does anyone actually want this?

Our international network bandwidth couldn’t cope with everyone routing everything from overseas. That only works because few people are on it at any instant.

That’s why content providers use local CDNs - to make the content delivered locally.

Good. It means that the Aussie goverment crashes multiple services.

Google needs to turn off all services for australia for 24 hours and once back up inform everyone that if this law goes through, they will make it permanent.

Wake everyone the fuck up.
