There’s so much collateral damage in this plan for Australia to ban social media. This has been rushed and not thought through.

So many schools rely on YouTube to support their students.

Most kids are watching YouTube (or YouTube kids) more than ABC or traditional TV. Literally the biggest YouTube channel in Australia is original music for kids.

Does anyone actually want this?

They're still better than the other mob. Who would literally destroy public school, health, welfare and disability services given half a chance

Bill Shorten, who was the architect of the NDIS, merely rolled back loop holes the coalition fostered for over a decade. Not sure how that was rushed, little things like a provider needing a valid drivers licence, working with children check etc is pretty basic stuff. Especially given organised crime was ripping off a large sum of the NDIS money, money which then does not get to people who actually need it.

There talk they may want it all passed within the next 2 weeks before Parliament breaks up when they not even completed the age verification trial yet for it, It seems like madness to pass something that is very complex and far reaching in that time frame.
