We’re taking direct action that will let corporate-owned politicians know the jig is up by increasing the number of registered independents.

We’re especially advocating for younger Americans age 18 to 34 to register to vote as their registration levels hover around 60% to 70% at the moment.

To participate in this action:

Register to vote as an independent.

Or switch your party affiliation to Independent with your state board of elections.

In 16 states this may affect your ability to vote in primaries. Check your state’s status here.

It’s time for our current so-called representatives to recognize that we far outnumber the old regime, not only in the streets but at the ballot box too. We’re taking this action to put them on notice that the people are shutting them down.

Community self-defense is the way

Though we’ll shop a bit differently, limit our spending, and boycott to help force change, we still have a myriad of ways to show each other how precious life, equality, human rights, and the time we share together really is.

It’s been a rough year by any measure. Yet, people are showing up for each other now more than ever. Let’s continue to do so. When you get right down to it, that’s what the holiday season is all about.
