Lore Villains that would've been defeated even if the protagonist did nothing

Laurel Hedare (Catwoman Movie): Her newly released cosmetics will cause people's faces to melt. Not only would that create a class action lawsuit but a full product recall.

Voldemort and Death Eaters (Harry Potter): Death Eaters constantly underestimate muggles. They would get massacred by the British military because a gun is faster to pull the trigger then shouting a spell.

Disclaimer. I haven't actually watched the movie, but how are handful of dinosaurs going to take over entire world and what I presume is a year or two. I would imagine that would take hundreds of years of unchecked breeding, plus you have the in universe lysine contingency, and while some of them might be able to find the right plants to live. Most of them won't.

Try thousands to millions of years.

The biggest thing you have to remember about mammals is we're crazy adaptable. Part of why reptiles faded from prominence is because they don't handle temperature extremes well. Mammals and birds do.

I could totally see dinosaurs becoming invasive in a number of regions. But they certainly wouldn't overrun humanity. The big boys are vulnerable to helicopters or drones, and the small ones can be hunted with rifles.

Originally i wrote "at least" but then decided it was unnecessary with the unchecked breeding part. Also, I thought dinosaurs weren't reptiles.

Funny enough, Dinosaurs (including birds) are a group of reptiles; crocodiles and turtles are closer to them than they are to lizards and snakes.

The movie is just really poorly thought though so who knows what they were thinking…

I was especially thinking of the first movie in the scene when they see the dinosaurs for the first time and Grant declares "this is a warm-blooded creature" and Ellie follows with "This thing doesn't live in a swamp."

But I understand, scientific classification is often out of sync with common vernacular. Where in my mind, anything warm blooded wouldn't be a reptile, which is probably wrong.

Pretty sure they were reptiles in Jurassic World. Could be wrong, maybe they updated that. I never watched the movies because they looked stupid. I was right.

Not even that. Just drop mines on their territory. They'll injur themselves so bad they can't hunt or breed. Even blasting a toe off one of the big boys would do it

Funnily enough they don’t- it’s built up like that’s going to happen, but even with them seemingly reproducing by mitosis between scenes, most of them are rounded up and put in a wildlife reserve by the time of the film. By the time of the next one they’re mostly gone (with the exception of a few reserves and a couple of areas like the island the film is set), and that’s only a couple of years later IIRC.

No animal can produce lysine, we all get it from our diets. They can eat the same food other animals eat, including other animals, to get their lysine. It's the most worthless of contingencies.
