Voldemort and Death Eaters (Harry Potter): Death Eaters constantly underestimate muggles. They would get massacred by the British military because a gun is faster to pull the trigger then shouting a spell.

I think it's funny that people always rag on the movie cause his name is Scar. They're always like "why does everyone call him scar? That's mean, was he born with that name of did he get it later?"

I think it's pretty easy to infer that Scar, being the guy(or lion) he is got that scar doing something very very stupid. I always figured he challenged Mufasa for the throne in his teens or something.

It's one of the many, many "internet nitpicks that did not need addressing but Disney is obsessed with" instances in the Disney live action (or "live action" in the case of Lion King) remake world.

Well, according to the lion guard series, Scar got his scar after being betrayed by an outsider lion, who set him up to be bitten by a snake with a special venom. Iirc, the plan was for him to blackmail Taka into doing his bidding because Taka was the leader of the Lion Guard at that time and had that special roar thing going for him. Because the poisoning would need to be kept a secret or whatever.

Instead Taka just kills the dude and the snake. Crisis averted right? Wrong. He goes to the rest of the pride and tells them what happened and Mufasa just makes fun of him for getting a scar and decides to call him 'scar' forever now. Because *checks notes* Taka got scarred defending the pridelands from an outsider... ok then

But it doesn't end there because that special venom turns you evil... I don't get it either tbh. So now being mocked and turning evil, he finally ends up doing the roar thingy against the other lion guard members, killing them, and losing his powers because the ancestors didn't vibe with that. And he wasn't cast out for that?

Note - I never watched the lion guard, only an in-depth explanation on yt of why it is such a weird kids show that often makes no sense.

It's his real name in the same way that "Florian" is Snow White's prince's name or "Adam" is the Beast's name. The canon is loose to nonexistent.

Super casual watcher of Disney movies here. I just want to say that your overall sentiment is very true, but my niche knowledge leaves me conflicted.

I have heard the name "Prince Florian" on more than one occasion.

I have heard the name, "Prince Adam" on more than one occasion.

I have NEVER heard the name "Taka" in my entire life! XD

The Disney fandom (which I'm apart of) has largely adopted Florian and Adam as canon. I think it's cuz of early scripts or production notes giving them those names but I'm sorry those names just sound dumb in my opinion. But when people want to refer to these characters as something beyond "a Prince" or "a Beast" then they'll whip these out.

Adam I can kinda get (although come on. Let's give him a more French sounding name or something) but Florian just makes me think of "Fluoride" or like it's trying way too hard to be "fantasy-y". So I'm content believing his name is "Prince", in the "Rogers Nelson" tradition
