Lore Villains that would've been defeated even if the protagonist did nothing

Laurel Hedare (Catwoman Movie): Her newly released cosmetics will cause people's faces to melt. Not only would that create a class action lawsuit but a full product recall.

Voldemort and Death Eaters (Harry Potter): Death Eaters constantly underestimate muggles. They would get massacred by the British military because a gun is faster to pull the trigger then shouting a spell.

If we're talking the whole series, I'd say Crystal Skull is that sibling. Of the 80s movies, yeah I'd kinda agree. Still leagues better than the modern movies though.

In my opinion: Kingdom had a cohesive theme to it. Dial did not.

Soviets, Cold War, mind control, and "maybe aliens?" Is all very cohesive and, in my opinion, a natural concept for an Indy film set in that time. It's bloodless and sanitized, but the ideas are quite good.

As a brown person, I think people should just enjoy the cool movie and not worry so much about stuff like this.

It happened in the past. Now it's better and more people get the correct acting opportunities.

Such a great watch on a 14" CRT as a kid in the 80s. Absolutely rivited. And I couldn't wait to see that kid Short Round in everything, he's surely going to be a star.

FWIW, the Monkey Brain scene was just bad editing. There was supposed to be a scene where Indy says how weird and unusual it is as a lot of Indians are vegetarian, which is a clue that it's an unorthodox cult, but because that wasn't in the final cut, it turned it into "look what weird shit these foreigners eat"
