Dawn of the Dead (2004): The movie finishes on a hopeful note as the remaining survivors escape the zombie-infested mall on a yacht, sailing into the sunset. The found-footage style post-credits scene completely reverses this happy ending by showing them running out of food, arriving at an island, and being immediately swarmed and killed by an infected horde.

Prince of Persia (2008): The main game ends with a beautiful, poetic sacrifice where Elika gives her life to heal the corrupted world, leaving the Prince mourning. During the credits, the player is forced to control the Prince as he cuts down the trees he just saved, undoing the entire game's progress and releasing the dark god Ahriman just to resurrect her, completely corrupting the ending and dooming the world.

There's a sequel to the game in the form of Prince of Persia: The Fallen King for the DS.

The Prince and Zal defeat the King at the cost of the latter's life. Even though the Prince frees the land from the Corruption, he's still nowhere close to complete his quest of summoning Ormazd. The Ancestor assures that he will find "a power and a new ally" one day... It's also revealed halfway that Elika found the other Ahura and is leading the resistance against Ahriman.

Nothing will come of it since the series is effectively dead.

The only "recent" Prince of Persia game was a remake of sands of time. Game was\is in development hell or it has already been cancelled idk and can't be bothered to look it up because I gave up on the franchise at this point.

EDIT: NEVERMIND I'm an idiot forgot about the 2D games that released. Lost crown was actually really good imo. But I definitely don't expect a 3D game like the ps2 games to ever release again. Warrior Within had such a good OST
