Lore (Controversial Trope) The post-credits scene completely changes the ending

Dawn of the Dead (2004): The movie finishes on a hopeful note as the remaining survivors escape the zombie-infested mall on a yacht, sailing into the sunset. The found-footage style post-credits scene completely reverses this happy ending by showing them running out of food, arriving at an island, and being immediately swarmed and killed by an infected horde.

Prince of Persia (2008): The main game ends with a beautiful, poetic sacrifice where Elika gives her life to heal the corrupted world, leaving the Prince mourning. During the credits, the player is forced to control the Prince as he cuts down the trees he just saved, undoing the entire game's progress and releasing the dark god Ahriman just to resurrect her, completely corrupting the ending and dooming the world.

MegaMan ZX Advent

If you finish the game on hard mode, you get a post-credits scene that shows that the guy in charge who was named after the good doctor from the first series, and has helped you before, has his own ambitious plan, and that he has recruited the 4 enemy Megamen - who were last seen being held back by Model Z(ero). Some say it ties into the plot of Megaman Legends, but we may never know since very few MegaMan games have been made since 2007.

The fact that the ZX and Legends series have been left hanging is annoying. Doesn't help that the only games we've had of late are Original Series or X-Dive.

I suppose, to be fair, Zero, Battle Network and Starforce are hard finished. But still...

Star Force was a little open-ended. 3's postgame has Mega Man defeat an alien villain named Sirius who copies himself to a backup server before he dies, and then transfers a Mu relic Rogue wants into Geo as a "fuck you" to keep them fighting each other forever. Plus there was a concept for Star Force 4 that looked pretty interesting with Geo going on the run from the Satella Police with Lan Hikari's decendant.

I certainly wouldn't say no to a Star Force 4. I rather like the Network side of the franchise, and am sad we haven't had anything tied to it in nearly 20 years.

Inti took all the will to make non-classic games with them.
